Trace element malnutrition causes the development of chronic degenerative diseases. The consumption minerals and other compounds biochemical origin through intake vegetables can attenuate these deficiencies to a great extent. Because content in plant depends on conditions where it develops, there are still that should be taken into consideration. For example, Mexico, selenium does not cover recommended daily requirement. objective this study was use nanoparticles (nSe) as (Se) source determine effects agronomic indices, antioxidant compounds, enzymatic activity, accumulation Se fruits jalapeño pepper crop. Different concentrations nSe (1, 15, 30, 45 mg L−1) were supplied via drench plants at 45, 60 days after transplanting. results indicate applying with L−1 increased crop yield compounds. Moreover, all doses evaluated modified activity enzymes ascorbate peroxidase (APX), glutathione (GSH-Px), phenylalanine ammonium lyase (PAL), well improved concentration fruits. incorporation is an alternative increase nutraceutical fruits, possibly positively influencing human nutrition when consumed.
